David Louis Klein, a local handyman and longtime resident of the area passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at home in Wurtsboro. He was 55. The son of the late Frank W. Klein and Florence E. Steencken Klein, he was born October 16, 1955 in Weehawken, New Jersey. David attended Monticello High school. He was a loving father and friend who loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was always there to help anyone in need. David was also the administrator and long time member of the Moose Club. He is survived by his three children: Vanessa D. Klein of Brooklyn, NY, Dawn A. Davila of Beaver Dam, WI and David Klein Jr. of Liberty; five brothers: Gary, Kenny, Jeff, Robert and Frank Klein & his wife Jill; a sister: Sharon Marotta & her husband Jim of Summitville; two grandchildren: Desiree and Benjamin II; and several nieces & nephews including Anthony, Jeffrey and James Marotta. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister: Lori Klein. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 20 from 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Memorial contributions made to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
