Obituary of Ralph E. Maglione

Ralph E. Maglione of Wurtsboro, the former President of Ralph's Auto Parts in Orange County, NY, and longtime resident of the area, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 85. The son of the late Joseph P. Maglione and Stella Havens Maglione, he was born May 20, 1926 in the Bronx. He was the widower of Isabella J. Maglione who predeceased him on July 7, 2004. Ralph attended St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Europe during World War II where he earned a purple heart and bronze star. He is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Maglione of Wurtsboro and Robert Maglione & his wife Janie of Montgomery; two grandchildren: Timothy "TJ" Maglione of Harriman and Danielle Maglione of Montgomery; two brothers: Ronald Maglione of Middletown and John Maglione of Weston, CT; two stepsons: James & John Lofstedt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter: Karen Maglione; and three brothers: Joseph, Edward and James Maglione. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1 from 6-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 2 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating.
