Obituary of Charlotte Joyce Resinol

Charlotte Joyce Resinol, beloved mother, niece, cousin and trusted friend of many, passed away on Monday. Leaving our world after a brief but determined battle with Cancer, Charlotte blessed our lives for 67 years. A talented seamstress born in Pittsburgh, PA she later lived in Florida and then settled in Wurtsboro, NY, sewing and designing custom clothing and accessories. Charlotte's greatest joys in life were her two children. She is predeceased by her son, Charles Lyle, the apple of her eye and her beloved first born. She is survived by her loving daughter Dali, with whom she spoke to every day, each providing the other with encouragement, laughter and love. They were fortunate to be mother, daughter, and friends sharing many happy times and creating wonderful memories together. Charlotte gave her love to everything she touched, whether it be her children, her friends or her pets. She had a unique and witty sense of humor and Charlotte was genuinely kind to all that she knew. Choosing to be near her daughter, Charlotte made her home in Wurtsboro, NY. Along with her beloved poodles Max and Pepper, her home was filled with knick knacks and mementos of her many experiences and wonderful aromas from her kitchen. A beautiful and sophisticated woman, she also thrived on watching "her" Steelers football games and the joys of going fishing. Her friends will miss her and her family will grieve, but go forward knowing how much Charlotte loved them. Charlotte left our realm in the arms of her daughter, experiencing the love that she felt every day. The family will gather on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro, NY to celebrate her life and comfort each other. Immediately afterward, a tree planting ceremony will be held in her honor at the Rails to Trails/Patricia Moore Memorial Park.
