Charles H. Scott of Wurtsboro, a self-employed handyman and lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 83.
The son of the late Charles H. Scott and Amelia Crawford Scott, he was born January 28, 1928 in Phillipsport.
He is survived by a sister: Hattie Edwards of Wurtsboro; a nephew: James Edwards & his wife Paula; a niece: Loretta Lomanto & her husband Tom; great nephews: David, Michael, Johnathan and John; great niece: Heather; and several other nieces and nephews in the Middletown area. He was predeceased by a brother Ralph and a sister Ruth.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 12 from 9-11am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Burial will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville.
