Robert R. "Bob" Grey passed away at his home in Neversink on August 3, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was 73. Bob is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Patsy at home: a Daughter and son-in-law: Beth Ann and Robert Mickelson and their sons, Ryan, Joseph and Jon of Neversink: A Son and Daughter-in-Law: Gregory and Kathryn Grey and their son Carson of Bloomington, IL. He is predeceased by two brothers Walter and Gerald. Bob graduated from Tri-Valley Central School in 1955 and served 4 years in the US Air Force. He was later employed by the NYC Dept of Water Supply in Grahamsville. Bob is best remembered for establishing and operating Greys Woodworks, in1979, in Grahamsville. The Home of on site construction of various types of storage facilities. It still remains a family business, run by his daughter and son in law, Beth and Bob Mickelson. Bob was an active member of his community. He was a long time member of the Grahamsville Fire Department, Supervisor of the construction of the Chestnut Creek Covered Bridge in 1976. He coached Little League and Pony League baseball for several years. The Family has requested that contributions be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or the American Cancer Society, 419 E. Main, Suite 307B, Middletown, NY 10940. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2011 with Rev. Paul Reuder Officiating.
