Susanna Garzon of Monticello died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty. She was 94. The daughter of the late Mary & George Repko, she was born in Summit Hill, PA on October 20, 1916. Sue worked in the Hamilton Avenue & Monticello Hospitals as a nurse's aide for many years, and was a member of St. Peter's Church, Catholic Daughters, Ladies of the Night, Red Hat Ladies and Bethel Seniors Club. She is survived by her daughter Christina Greenhalgh; her grandchildren Maria & Ralph Greenhalgh and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sister Mary A. Monroe; her niece Josephine (Charles) Ketcham, nephews Brian (Wanda) Monroe, Mathew Monroe, Robert (Lynn) Monroe & Albert (Susan) Monroe; great nieces Melinda Ketcham-Meddaugh (Josh), Holli Monroe; great nephews Shane Ketcham, Christopher Monroe, Craig Monroe, Paul Gomez, Ryan Monroe & Dillon Monroe; two sisters, Rose Jordahl and Helen Mortimer; and two sons Sandy & Peter Garzon. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel Garzon, her sister Ann, her brothers Mike & George, and a nephew Michael Monroe. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3 at 5:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Family and friends are invited to gather from 3-5pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment of her ashes will be held at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery in Monticello.
