Doreth Anne Melhado Rodriguez of Monticello, a medical secretary and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 39. The daughter of Winston Melhado and Josephine Morrison Melhado, she was born May 8, 1971 in Birmingham, England. She is survived by her husband: Wilfred Rodriguez; her parents: Winston and Josephine Melhado; two sons: Wilfred Rodriguez III and Antonio Rodriguez; a daughter: Charli Rodriguez; three sisters: Brenda Melhado, Sharon Busby & her husband Christopher, and Lorna Melhado; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16 from 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 11:00am at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 26 Liberty Street in Monticello with Pastor Billwayne Jamel officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
