Patricia Ann Gray passed away on Monday, April 25, 2010 at her home in Monticello following a long and courageous battle with lung disease. She was 76. The daughter of the late Richard Haggerty and Elizabeth Kinney Reisch, and stepdaughter of the late Louis Reisch, she was born March 12, 1935 in Monticello. Patti was a graduate of Monticello High School and Russell Sage College in Troy. She spent most of her childhood years growing up in her grandparents' boarding house, the Hotel Kinney, in Bridgeville, in the building that is currently the Old Homestead Restaurant. Some of her early employment included working as a secretary and executive assistant for Synfleur Labs in Monticello, a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company and as a teacher of business courses at Monticello High School. During part of the 60's and throughout the 70's, she and her husband, the late Ed Gray, operated the pro shop and food concession at the Tarry Brae Golf Course in South Fallsburg. From 1980-87 they owned and operated the Golden Oak Golf Course and Restaurant in Windsor, NY. Patti later held the position of Director of Golf at the Homowack Resort Golf Course in Spring Glen. Patti enjoyed spending winters at her home in Sarasota, FL. An accomplished pianist, she always enjoyed entertaining people with her music, both privately and publicly, where she had the ability to draw a crowd. She is survived by her son: Peter Pashkow of Ridgewood, NJ; her longtime companion: Bruce Miller of Monticello; many cousins, including: Debora de Hoyos, Amanda Carlson, Greta Carlson and Linnea Carlson, all of Evanston, IL, and Linda Cosco of Monticello; and special friends: Judy Rhulen and Joli Bassi, both of Monticello, and Dr. Allen Fielding, of Philadelphia, all of whom were very helpful during the toughest of times. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1 from 5-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, May 2 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Mo. Ninon Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
