On Friday, March 18, 2011, Lois Elaine Dorman of Monticello, New York, formerly of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away at the age of 64 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was the widow of John C. Dorman Sr. who predeceased her on October 4, 2007. The daughter of the late Richard H. Turpin and Thelma Haggenmaker Turpin, she was born December 23, 1946 in Washington, DC. She is survived by her son, John C. Dorman Jr. of Long Island City. Family and friends are invited to gather at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home at 401 Broadway in Monticello on Friday March 25, between 2-4pm ad 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday, March 26 at 11am at the Church of St. Peter, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to 1st Way Life Center, P.O. Box 1168 Monticello, New York 12701.
