Margaret A. Tenney VanGorden, a retired factory worker with Carnival Toy Co. in Bridgeport, CT, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family. She was 80.
The daughter of the late George Tenney Sr. and Margaret Minor, she was born October 15, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT.
She is survived by her husband: Walter A. VanGorden, at home; a daughter: Margaret VanGorden of Monticello; two sons: Walter VanGorden of Naugatuck, CT and Robert VanGorden of Monticello; two sisters: Doris Marsh of Southbury, CT and Norma Hawley of Stratford, CT; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: George Tenney Jr. and Donald Tenney; and a sister: Mary Broadway.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
