Rosario Talas of Monticello NY, beloved wife, sister, aunt and mother, passed from this life into the hands of GOD at 9:36pm, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
Born to the late Felipe Paz and Judith (nee Santacrus) Paz, in Cali, Colombia, December 2, 1940. She emigrated to the United States with her husband of 46 years, Sandor Talas, in 1965.
She is survived by her husband; Sandor Talas; son: Sandor Robert Talas; daughters: Kathleen Thomas, Zsuzsanna Talas and Kathleen Spagnuolo Talas; her grandchildren: Jared and Jordan Lopez, Sandor-Ryan Thomas and Doukas Alexander Taverney; her sisters: Mary Cubbillos and Marlene Myro; and her adored nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brother Oscar Paz and sister Nory Kasprisan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello, NY. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19, 11:00am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. Gonzalo Arias presiding.
