Arnold James Hutchins, "Catman", of Monticello, a local cook and longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 63. The son of the late Walter James Hutchins and Esther Randolph Hutchins, he was born August 11, 2012 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. A 1967 graduate of Druid High School, he went on to work at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Grossinger's Hotel, Brown's Hotel and the Center for Discovery. Survivors include his wife: Jeannetta Hutchins, at home; three daughters: Michelle, Angela and Nadine, and four grandchildren: Marque, DeVon, Dianie and Willie, all of Georgia; four sisters: Renee Spence (Arthur), Mattie Moffitt (Edsail), Brenda Lawrence (Jerome) and Rosia Harris (late Clarance); two brothers: Walter Hutchins and Clarance Hutchins; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church, 28 Liberty Street in Monticello with Rev. James Matthews officiating. Family and friends may gather from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
