Frank Lee Peterson of Monticello was called home on Sunday, November 28, 2010. He was 64. He was born July 23, 1946 in Scotlandneck, NC. He was born to the late Mr. Odell Whitaker Sr. & Lillie Mae Whitaker. Frank was a longtime resident of Ellenville since 1961. He was a professional baker for 45 years, being employed at Albert's bakery and Cohen's bakery. He retired 6 years ago. We will miss his laughter and his smile. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, four sisters: Mae Holland (Robert), Bessie Norman, Janette Whitaker all of Monticello and Flora Caldwell of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Thomas Whitaker of Ellenville, NY; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and friends. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his grandmother, Bessie Peterson; four brothers: Edward Whitaker Sr., Glen Whitaker, Lewis Whitaker and Odell Whitaker Jr.; and one sister, Patricia Whitaker. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 10-11am at the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ, 39 Clinton Avenue in Ellenville. His funeral service will begin at 11:00am at the church with Rev. Raymond Younger officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
