Mrs. Betty Jean Johnson Glenn was born on September 25, 1940 in Milledgeville, Georgia to Emanuel Johnson Sr. and Carrie Eaisley Johnson. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 31, 2010. She was the second born child of six children. Betty received her education in the public schools in Baldwin County, Georgia. Her husband who preceded her in death was Ernest Glenn. She and her three young daughters left Georgia and came to live for over forty-five years in Monticello, New York where she worked many jobs. She moved again and settled in Albany, New York. Her passing is a deep and personal loss to her family. Those who remain to cherish her memories are her three daughters: Diane Johnson of Albany, NY, Dolores Glenn Epps of Roosevelt, NY and Waltenia Glenn McNeil Taylor of Albany, NY; thirteen grandchildren, one who preceded her in death; and fifteen great grandchildren; her mother Carrie Johnson of Milledgeville, GA; two brothers: Emanuel Johnson Jr. of Albany, NY and Tommy Johnson of Hempstead, NY; two sisters: Carolyn Bolden of Albany, NY and Daisy Ellis of Monticello, NY; two adopted sisters: Amber Cole and Melissa Oney; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Johnson of Hempstead, NY and Lucille Johnson of Milledgeville, GA; two brothers-in law: Artie Bolden of Albany, NY and Richard Ellis of Monticello, NY; a son in law, Randy Epps Sr.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
