Anne C. Matarazzo, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at CRMC in Harris. She was 87
The daughter of the late Pasquale Pannone and Nellie Sarno Pannone, she was born February 26, 1923 in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Eltore Matarazzo who predeceased her on November 22, 1999.
She is survived by two sons: Robert Matarazzo of Woodridge and Richard Matarazzo of Bellmore, Long Island; three daughters: Dolores Adinolfi of Monmouth, NJ, Patricia Mangravito of Frederick, CO and Marguerite Puglisi of Monticello; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a brother: Vincent Pannone of Brooklyn; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters: Dolores Trentacosta and Corinne Modica.
Visitation will be held on Friday (today), October 8 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9 at 8:00am at St. Peter's Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Green Park Cemetery in Marlboro, NJ.
