Margaret La Greca of Wurtsboro Hills died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 87. The daughter of the late Joseph Amtman and Catherine Schreiber Amtman, she was born February 12, 1925 in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Joseph La Greca who predeceased her on June 7, 1999. Mrs. La Greca was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wurtsboro and the Mamakating Senior Citizens. She is survived by a son: Joseph La Greca of Wurtsboro; and three grandchildren: Jesse, Ryan and Alexis. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son: John La Greca. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8 at 11am at St. Joseph's Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. There will be a brief visitation from 10:00-10:30am at the funeral home prior to the mass. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
