Obituary of Jeanette H. Murran

Jeanette H. Murran, a retired bookkeeper for Ike’s Auto Parts in Monticello, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family.  She was 87.

 

The daughter of the late Thomas Hickman and Alice Masters Hickman, she was born February 20, 1937 in Carbondale, PA.

 

She is survived by her husband of 69 years: John A. Murran Sr.; their children: Debbie Braught (Bruce), Patti Bock, Eddie Murran and Randy Murran (Rachel); grandchildren: Kira, Bruce, Chris, Scott, Amber, Kimberly, Caitlin, EJ, Peyton, Randy and Jaiden; and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: John A. Murran Jr., and all of her siblings: Donald, Billy, Tom and Dolores.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, with a prayer service starting at 3pm.  Interment of her ashes will be held at the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Monticello in the spring.
