Obituary of Terrence J. McLoughlin

Terrence James McLoughlin, am automobile mechanic and longtime resident of the area, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at his home in Bloomingburg. He was 64. The son of James McLoughlin and Jaqueline Mazak Bernhardt, he was born March 23, 1946 in St. Petersburg, FL. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Middletown, Terry was also an avid gardener and a great reader, frequenting the Middletown Thrall Library. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Arlene Morris McLoughlin, at home; his father: James McLoughlin & his wife Norma of Harpswell, ME; his mother: Jacqueline Bernhardt of Hallandale Beach, FL; two sons: Michael McLoughlin & his wife Alice Pesce of Boston, MA, and Thomas McLoughlin & his fianc Lauren Friedeborn of Ellenville; a daughter: Susan McLoughlin of Bloomingburg; two grandchildren: Anna and Oliver; a brother: John McLoughlin & his wife Elizabeth of Portland, ME; a sister: Anne McLoughlin & her husband Alan Hummer of Brunswick, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
