Obituary of Keyshe Faye Wilks
Keyshe Faye Wilks, the beloved daughter of Gloria Jean West Wilks and Jesse Bennettee Wilks, Sr. was born in Monticello, New York on March 29, 1973. Keyshe left this world unexpectedly on November 6, 2024, at the age of 51.
Keyshe was a proud graduate of Monticello High School and pursued further education with a spirit of determination. She dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker and recently made her home in Linden, Alabama.
Keyshe’s greatest joys were found in the moments spent with her children and her unwavering faith in God. Keyshe had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, whether through her passion for hairstyling, the delicious meals she lovingly prepared for family gatherings, or the heartfelt songs she sang.
Keyshe leaves behind cherished memories with her beloved children, Sadhashia, Quanasha, Savyon, Idesha, and Dreena, all residing in Monticello, NY. Keyshe is also remembered by her dear siblings, Tamika, Jesse Jr., James, Derrick, Wendy, Taneisha, and Syrin. Her legacy continues through her precious grandchildren, Dihviyn Smalls and Azhuri Keyshe Wilks; and her best friend, Vanessa Colons, who stood by her side in life’s journey. Keyshe's love extended to the nieces and nephews she held dearly, Jesse Wilks III, D’Zyre Wilks, Joseph Alli, Delijah Hadley, Aaliyah Alli, Serenity Wilks, Dmani Wilks, Diamante Wilks, Mia Brown, Marquise Brown, Avi Brown; her favorite little niece, Patience Hudson Wilks; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, along with countless other family members who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Keyshe was predeceased by her loving parents; her first and one true love and devoted father of her three oldest children, James B. Tomlinson; and devoted father of her youngest daughter, Wayne Ramkinsoon.
Keyshe, you will be forever missed and loved. Your spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives you touched, and your love will continue to guide those left behind.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello with a funeral service starting at 12:00 noon. Cremation will be held privately following services.
