Obituary of Michael Randolph Guthridge

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, Michael Randolph Guthridge of Rock Hill passed away at the age of 82.

 

Born in Englewood N.J., he grew up in Oradell, NJ.  He graduated from River Dell High School there and attended Iowa State College. Michael was a loving son, (predeceased by Helen and Frank Guthridge); brother to Betty Ann Foy; brother-in-law to John J. (Joe) Foy, Windsor, CT; father to Michelle Bianco and husband Dominick of New Windsor, NY; grandfather to Mark Anthony Guthridge; uncle to Cheryl Harris (David) of New Providence, NJ, John Foy (Jodi) of Clayton, NC, James Foy (Larissa) of Highlands Ranch, CO; fond stepfather to Carol Dombrowski, Teresa Lenar, Charlaine Raneri, Carol Ann Pellicci and Jackie Snel;  and great uncle to Brianna, Jackie and Evan Harris, Jack and Nick Foy, and Lucas Foy.

 

Michael worked for the United States Post Office, served with the Army National Guard and was a truck driver for over 30 years. He was last employed by Red Star Trucking and received the million miles award.  A hockey and UCONN women's basketball fan he also enjoyed fishing, grilling, vegetable and flower gardening, his 1992 (like new!) Ford F150 truck, Johnny Cash, the casino, his immaculate little house on the lake and good times with many wonderful neighbors and friends. 

 

Following cremation, burial of his ashes will be held privately with family in Windsor, CT.
