Obituary of Julianne DeMaio
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Julianne DeMaio, who left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was just 48. Julie was an extraordinary daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and devoted dog mom whose light touched every life she encountered.
The daughter of Debra Culotta DeMaio and the late Michael DeMaio, she was born October 22, 1975 in Boonton, New Jersey.
Julie had a heart that radiated warmth. Her love for motorcycles was a testament to her fearless nature and her outlook on life. Whether she was cruising down an open road or sharing stories of her latest ride, her enthusiasm was infectious, and her free spirit attitude was truly one of a kind.
As a sister, she was a confidante and a constant source of strength. As a daughter, her love was unwavering and profound. As an aunt and niece, she brought joy and a sense of belonging to all her relatives, making each gathering special and memorable. As a dog mom, she was one of a kind, always being a “mom” and putting their needs before her own. Her love and respect for her family were evident in everything she did.
At a young age, Julie exhibited remarkable strength and resilience by stepping up to support our family following the untimely death of our father. Her selflessness and maturity in the face of such adversity are a testament to her character and the profound impact she has had on our lives. Julie became not only a guiding light for her siblings but also a pillar of support for our mother.
Julie was known for her unwavering generosity and the deep, genuine care she showed to those around her. Her selflessness and warm spirit made her a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends. Whether it was through her thoughtful gestures, her nurturing support, or her random inspiring messages, she had a unique ability to make every moment brighter and every burden lighter.
Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit and the memories we hold will forever remain in our hearts.
She is survived by her mother: Debra of Godeffroy; her siblings: April and her partner Sean Scanlon, Carmen and his partner Julissa Eliza, and Michael Jr; nieces and nephews: Gianna, Logan, Michael III, Mikayla; and her beloved dog-child Bear.
