Stephen F. Magie of Rock Hill, a retired foreman for the New York State Department of Transportation, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty.  He was 77.

 

The son of the late Samuel R. Magie and Freda M. Potter Magie, he was born January 16, 1947 in Monticello.

 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Lois Bensinger Magie, at home; three children: Tina Foster and her husband Michael of Grahamsville, NY, Tammy Brown of Little River, SC, and Christopher Magie and his girlfriend Jennifer of Conway, SC; grandchildren: Kayla Connolly and her husband James, Michael Foster and his wife Kayla, James Foster and his wife Breanna, Heather Foster and her fiance Adam, and D’zyre Wilkes; and two great grandsons: Marshal and Wyatt.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 6 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello with a memorial service starting at 6:00pm.
