Obituary of Ronald C. Russo

Ronald C. Russo of Summitville, a retired signalman for the New Jersey Transit Authority, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty.  He was 82.

 

The son of the late Nat Russo and Amalia Molinaro Russo, he was born November 4, 1941 in Brooklyn.

 

Ron Russo was enlisted into the Army and he played the trumpet in the Army band. This was his first endeavor into the world of music. Which led him to Ron Russo and the Society Rock for over 25 years. He loved his toys and sharing them with his children. You could always catch him on either the lake jet skiing or 4 wheeling in the woods. He loved traveling with his wife Jennifer and seeing the United States.

 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Jennifer Cimato Russo, at home. Two sons: Ronald Russo and his wife Michelle of Summitville, and Steven Russo and his wife Karen of Brooklyn; a grandchild: Michael Budd; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers: Sonny and Frank Russo.

 

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, July 16 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
