Obituary of Robert A. Raymond

Robert A. Raymond of Monticello, a retired Postmaster for the Town of Fallsburg, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.  He was 79.

The son of the late Arthur Raymond and Ruth Kozlowski Raymond, he was born June 19, 1945 in Monticello.  

He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren, outdoors by his pool, riding side by sides on the trail, and just visiting with everyone he loved.

He is survived by his three sons: Kevin Raymond and his wife Amy, Keith Raymond and his wife Cecy; and Kurt Raymond and his wife Tara; eight grandchildren: Kyle, Cody, Kevin, Annelyse, Ayden, Kollin, Keegan and Khloe; a great grandchild: Sylas; a sister: Janet Tursi; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Carol; and a sister: Karen “Cookie” Nosel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, with a prayer service starting at 2pm.  Burial will follow at the Hurleyville Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
