Obituary of Dolores Bonney

Dolores Bonney of Wurtsboro, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie.  She was 65.

The daughter of the late Alphonse Langone Sr. and Dolores Braccia Langone, she was born June 29, 1958 in Brooklyn.

She was previously a scout leader, lunch monitor for the Middletown School district, bookkeeper at Kandel Brothers, and a bartender who enjoyed volunteering in the community.

She is survived by a son: Rory Roche; a daughter-in-law: Serena Marangoni; brother: Alphonse Langone Jr. and sister-in-law: JoAnn Langone, several grandchildren including Richie and Julia Orengo; and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Bonney.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 27 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:30pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating.  Cremation will follow the mass and interment of her ashes will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family would be appreciated.
