Obituary of Marie C. Woodruff

Marie Catherine Roosa Woodruff of Wurtsboro, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Arch Care at Ferncliff Nursing Home located in Rhinebeck, NY  

The daughter of the late Harrison Roosa and Alice Olcott Roosa, she was born on

May 1, 1934 in Monticello.

 Marie was a member of the Ellenville community for many years. She raised 3 children whom she is survived by, Linda and her husband James (Jimmy), Claire (Cookie), and William (Billy) along with her two grandchildren; Jennifer and Daniel (Danny), and her three great grandchildren; Aiden, Annabelle, and Lorraine. Marie was predeceased by her husband William (Billy) Woodruff and her siblings: Mary, Genevieve, Elmer, Wilbur, Charles, Birdsall, Audrey, Isabella, Lorraine, Mardell,

and her twin brother Franklin 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20 from 5-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.  A Graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, June 21 at 11am at the Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Community Church of Wurtsboro at 134 Sullivan Street Wurtsboro, NY.
