Obituary of Andrew J. Armstead

Andrew Armstead was born to Lawrence Armstead, Sr. and Marion Armstead on December 18, 1983, in Harris, New York.  On June 4, 2024, in Monticello, NY, Andrew departed this life and entered eternal rest.

Andrew attended the Monticello Central School District and worked for a Security company. He had several passions, but his love for basketball exceeded them all.  He will be remembered for the love he had for his friends and family. 

Andrew’s heart brimmed with joyous anticipation upon learning he was not only going to become a father, but that his firstborn would be a boy.  They developed an unbreakable bond.  Saint was the very essence of Andrew’s world.  

Andrew’s memories are lovingly cherished by his mother, Marion of Monticello, NY; one sister Jacqueline Armstead (Erick Duncan) of Hampton, GA; one brother, Lawrence Armstead, Jr. (Shalonda  Armstead) of Stockbridge, GA;  his son, Saint Armstead of Liberty, NY; two nieces, Erica Armstead of Hampton, GA and Jennifer Brabham of Denver, CO; and four nephews, Tyshaun Chandler and Reggie Chandler, Jr. of Hampton, GA, Lawrence “Tre” Armstead, III of Stockbridge, GA and Brice Stukes of Columbia, SC.   Also left to cherish his memories are his two grandnieces, Faith Chandler of Villa Rica, GA, and Azura Armstead of Hampton, GA; two grandnephews, Azaiah Armstead and Zyaire Armstead of Hampton, GA; four aunts, Alice Armstead, Rosabelle Fore and Olice Williams all of Monticello, NY and Debra Shaw (Bernard Shaw) of Clementon, NJ; one uncle, Leo Armstead of Snellville, GA; and a host of loving cousins and a village of good friends. Andrew was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Armstead, Sr.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14 at 12:00 noon at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello.  Viewing will be from 11am to 12pm.   Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.

Andrew, your departure from this world came far too soon, leaving us with a void that can never be filled. Yet, we are grateful for the life you lived, for the joy and love you brought into our lives. As God calls you to eternal rest, we bid you farewell.  Sleep well.
