Obituary of Dale M. Stratton
Dale Stratton, a retired self-employed wallpaper hanger of the area, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her home in Monticello. She was 76.
The daughter of the late John Sutter and Adelaine Leisenberg, she was born April 6,1948 in Staten Island.
Dale loved to gamble. She loved going to bingo and would buy books of lottery scratch offs and scratch 2 a day. Most of the time and on occasion she would sneak 2 more.
She is survived by her daughter’s; Lisa Muller (Frank ) of Conway, SC, and Tracy Agapito (Pedro) of Monticello NY, Stepson: Thomas Stratton (Analey) of Parksville NY, step daughter Kathy (Eric) Dadson of Phelps, NY, eight loving grandchildren: Shane, Jeremy, Joshua, Brendon, Ryan, Stevie, Alexis, Taylor, one 1 step grandson Blake Stratton, twenty great- grandchildren and loving nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard “Richie” in 2020 and sister Janet C. Sutter in 2021.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 22 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A celebration of life will follow at the Monticello Elks Lodge. Cremation will be held privately and interment of her ashes will be held at a later date at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
