Obituary of Gabriel Nieves
Gabriel Nieves, born on August 24, 1971, in Monticello, NY, passed away on April 16, 2024, in Newburgh, NY, at the age of 52.
Gabriel was a dedicated member of the Fallsburg Fire Department and Monticello Fire Police, where he selflessly served his community. Gabriel was one heck of a fighter and most of all a lover. A helping hand at the drop of a dime, it didn’t matter if he knew you or not. If you were in need, he was there not for a favor in return but because his heart is made of gold. The list can go on of all the great traits he possessed but to name a few self-motivated, family oriented, respectful, empathetic, best dressed, and the best looking one of us all. We miss you dearly and words couldn't express the love we have for Gabe. He may be gone but will never be forgotten... In Loving Memory Gabriel.
He will be deeply missed by his family including Mother Carmen Nieves, Son Codie Nieves, Brother Jose Nieves and children Heather, Megan, and Nicholas Nieves, Brother Robert Nieves and his Daughter Ariana Nieves, Sister Marlene and her Husband Jose Abreu as well as their Children Haley and Jose Abreu, Sister Sonia and her Husband Guy Gugliotta and their children Guy, Anthony, and Kimberly Gugliotta. Gabriel will also be missed and remembered by Danny & John Gonzalez, and Gabriel Guerra (Children of sister Elsie Nieves), and Thomas (Tommy) and sister Heidi Nieves (Children of brother Jose Antonio & Brenda Gates-Nieves) as well as all the nieces and nephews’ little ones. Gabriel is also predeceased by Father Jose Nieves, Son Xavier Nieves, Brother Jose Antonio Nieves, and Sister Elsie Nieves. May they all Rest in Peace and God Bless their souls as they are never forgotten and forever missed.
A Firematic memorial to honor Gabriel will be held at the Monticello Fire House located at 23 Richardson Ave, Monticello, NY 12701, on Saturday, May 4th at 5:00pm.
