Sanford “Sandy” Lazarowics of Monticello, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Garnett Health Medical Center – Catskills (with Howie by his side). The son of the late Louis and Bertha (Guth) Lazarowics, he was born on February 18, 1927, in Monticello, NY.

We remember him for his kindness and loyalty to the many, many lives he touched. He treasured lifelong personal & business friendships, of which there were many. He was extremely compassionate & generous to those in need. He will be missed.

Upon graduating from Monticello High School in 1945, he enlisted in the Army and served during WWII. After discharge he graduated Colombia School of Pharmacy and worked for Gusar’s Pharmacy in Monticello for several years. He owned & operated AT Distributors with his brother, Sandels Restaurant & Mall Cleaners, and finally retiring from Kraft Foods after many years.
