Obituary of David Leon Scott

On Friday, April 5, 2024, David Leon Scott loving husband and father passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown.

David was a retired security guard from Walgreens. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard and a volunteer policeman for several years. He loved fishing and watching old westerns. He will be greatly missed by his family, until they one day join him in heaven. 

David married Sue on August 21, 1978, they were blessed with 45 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his three daughters: Jennifer her husband Brandon Stroud, Beth her husband Edward Lewis, and Lisa Scott; his son: Jady Scott;  and seven grandchildren:  Jayden, Emily, Hannah, Jacob, Sophia, Chloe and David.  In addition to his parents, Joe Scott and Verba Jean Thomas, he was predeceased by a son: David Leon Scott II.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 11 at 6:30 pm at Restoration Church, 13 Liberty Street in Monticello with Pastor Seth Switzer officiating.
