Mary Evans of Roosevelt, NY & Monticello, NY passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, NY. She was 94.
The daughter of the late Levi Sanders & Ida Mae Smith Sanders, Mary was born February 26, 1916 in Alabama.
Mary was a maintenance worker for the Monticello Raceway in Monticello.
She is survived by her daughter Ida McClam; and a brother: Frank Peters of Monticello. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Charlie Evans.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 11-1 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A Funeral Service will follow at 1p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Willie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
