Obituary of Pauline Idalia Douet

Pauline Idalia Douet, a station agent for the New York City Transit Authority, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at her home in Rock Hill surrounded by her family. She was 70.
The daughter of the late Fitz Clarence Phillips and Enid Douglas Phillips, she was born January 3, 1940 in Jamaica.
She is survived by her husband: Franklin Errol Douet of Rock Hill; her children: Claudia Carr-Simpson & her husband Leroy of Rock Hill, Josephine Douet & her husband Karl Edwards of Long Island, Wayne Douet & his wife Christie of Austin/Iowa, Candace Hurley & her husband Rodger of Brooklyn, and Nicole Douet of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren: Tajeme, Tiffany, Brittany, Ashley, Christian Alithea, Nia, Hillary and Christopher; and a brother: Winston Phillips of Jamaica.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 26 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello and on Tuesday, April 27 from 4-7pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1417 Union Street in Brooklyn. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the church. Burial will be held on Wednesday morning at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
