Henry "Ras" Mathison of Monticello died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 61.
The son of the late Leila and Herman Mattison, he was born December 26, 1948 in Kingston, Jamaica.
He is survived by his brother: Michael Mattison; his sisters: Jennifer Blake, Edna Birch, Ened Morris and Maureen Mattison; nephews Ronald Smith, Jamal Colon, Yakub Brown and Tyrone Haggen; niece Nafeesah Blake; and other nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 9-11am on Saturday, April 17 at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home with Bishop Derrick Simms officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
