Obituary of Fonda Padgett

Mrs. Fonda M. Padgett of Mountaindale, NY died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown. She was 50. She was born August 14, 1959 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Michael R. and the late Joan L. Dorn. On November 8, 1977 she was married to her loving husband, William H. Padgett. Fonda proudly served as a past member and President of the Wurtsboro Fire Dept., Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a past member and Vice President of the Rock Hill Fire Dept., Ladies Auxiliary. A family statement read: "She was a loving wife, mother, sister and auntie." Survivors include her loving husband, William H. Padgett, at home; two sons, Douglas M. Padgett and his wife, Susan, at home and Cory S. Padgett and his wife, Sand of Mountaindale; brother, Bruce Dorn and his wife, Carol of Brooklyn; sister, Deena Tanzman and her husband, Mark of Rock Hill; brothers, Perry Dorn and his wife, Janice of Monticello and Scott Dorn and his wife, Cheryl of Rock Hill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many loving friends. Friends may call at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro, on Friday, April 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 419 East Main St., Suite 202, Middletown, NY 10940.
