Richard Ingrassia, a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on March 30, 2010 following a battle with brain cancer. Richie was born in Liberty, grew up in Hurleyville and graduated from Fallsburg High School. He joined the family harness racing business with his father Ronnie at Ingrassia Stables in Monticello and worked with Ray Schnittker stables in Goshen. Richie was a great father who was very involved with all of his children's activities, such as coaching Little League Baseball and being an active Cub Scout leader. He was a kind and loving man who was loved by everyone he came into contact with. His eyes smiled and he was a good friend. He is survived by his wife Kelly Denbow Ingrassia; his son Richard Paul Ingrassia; his daughter Hannah Beth Ingrassia; his father Ronnie Ingrassia; his mother Carol Rosenberg Ingrassia; his sister Barbara Ingrassia Fairman; his brothers Ricky Ingrassia and Randy Ingrassia; his sister-in-law Cathleen Ingrassia; his brother-in-law Jake Fairman; his sister-in-law Jennifer Ingrassia; his nieces Hailey Ingrassia, Kaytlyn Ingrassia, Lilly Fairman, Ashley Ingrassia; and his nephew Anthony Ingrassia. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 1, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held on Friday April 2, 2010 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at the Hurleyville Cemetery.
