Ann M. Freaney, a classy, beautiful lady, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was 79 years young. Ann was born June 17th, 1930 to Harold and Erma Long of Olean, NY. She married the love of her life, Leo E. Freaney on August 25, 1951. They were married for 48 wonderful years. She moved to Monticello with her family in 1962, and was a long time member of the Monticello Fire Dept Auxiliary. Ann loved her family and friends, and knew how to live and enjoy life to its fullest. She would always light up a room with her hot pink lip stick, glitzy clothing, and gorgeous high heeled shoes. Ann touched the lives and hearts of all who knew her. She will be forever loved and missed. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo E. Freaney in 1999, her brother Harold Long Jr., her sisters Mary Willover and Audrey Shott. She is survived by her son, Mike Freaney and his wife Linda; her daughters, Karen Kilgore and her husband Jim, Debbie Blackford and her husband Rich and her beloved brother "Uncle" Joe Long of Hinsdale, NY. Grammy is also survived by her grandchildren: Laurie Ann Kilgore, Chris Kilgore and her husband Ron Miller and their children Allie and Conor, Patrick Freaney and his wife Sara and their daughter Taylor Ann, Kellie Freaney and her boyfriend Keljon, Alyssa Fraser, Darren Fraser, Kaylen Ann Blackford, Mark Blackford and Matt Blackford. Visitation will be held at the VanInwegen- Kenny Funeral Home at 401 Broadway, Monticello, NY on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 1-4pm, with services at 3pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Sullivan & Orange Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or the Monticello Fire Department, 23 Richardson Ave., Monticello, NY 12701.
