Obituary of Maria Katharina Brunner

Maria Katharina "Mary" Brunner, the owner of the Hunting Lodge Bar in Wurtsboro for 31 years, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in Pine Bush surrounded by her family. She was 79. The daughter of the late Engelbert Polczer and Katharina Molnar Polczer, she was born March 9, 1930 in Bakunyjako, Hungary. She was the widow of Peter Brunner. She is survived by two daughters: Catherine Eichner & her husband Michael Sr. of Pine Bush and Helga Coiro & her husband Stanley of Garrison; eight grandchildren: Michael Eichner Jr. of Maspeth, Peter Eichner of Pine Bush, Erick Eichner of Pine Bush, Shaun Eichner of Pine Bush, Crysti Eichner of Pine Bush, Maria Coiro of Mt. Kisco, Dominick Coiro of Garrison and Michelle Coiro of Garrison; a brother: Engelbert Polzer of Highland Mills; a sister: Katharina Randazzo & her husband Charles of Pinellas Park, FL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother: Joseph Polczer. Visitation will be held on February 5 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6 at 10:00am at the Church of the Infant Savior, 22 Holland Avenue in Pine Bush with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
