Obituary of Schyler R. Pittaluga

Please share a memory of Schyler to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Schyler Raymond Pittaluga of Monticello passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the age of 24. The son of Marlena Pittaluga-Egan and Gabriel Rojas, he was born June 6, 1998 in Middletown, NY.

Schyler had an amazing presence, personality and contagious laugh that would instantly brighten any room he entered. His love and compassion for his pets was unmeasurable, and his fun-loving playful banter with them was enjoyed by all those who were fortunate enough to witness it. Schyler was passionate about his investments, crypto currency, and NFT’s and was exited to share his knowledge and advice with anybody that would listen to it.

He is survived by his mother: Marlena Pittaluga-Egan & her husband Michael Egan of Minneola, FL; his father: Gabriel Rojas & Jaime Abraham of Monticello; his siblings: Elijah and Olivia Rojas, Emma Pittaluga-Egan, Shelby Egan and Cheyenne Horton; his grandparents: Carlo Pittaluga, Debbie Pittaluga, and Jose Rojas; a great grandmother: Marion Williams; uncles Carlo Pittaluga Jr. and Michael Rojas; an aunt Raquel Perez; his cat Luna & his snake Lester; several cousins; and his many other chosen family members and friends.  He was predeceased by his grandmother, Gladys Rojas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.

Memorial contributions can be made to Marlena Pittaluga-Egan at 1526 Oak Valley Blvd, Minneola, FL 34715.  It was Schyler’s dream to one day be able to put his younger siblings through college. All donations will be used to create college funds for Emma,  Elijah and Olivia in Schyler’s honor.

Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello. For additional information or to send an online condolence, please visit www.kennyfuneralhome.com
