Obituary of Joyce L. Fodor
Joyce L. Fodor, a devoted, wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty. She was 82
The daughter of the late Calvin Wagner and Evelyn May Rayside, she was born June 29, 1939 in Waterville, New York. Joyce was one of 8 children raised proudly on the family's farm.
Joyce had a love of nature, gardening, antiquing, and crafting that she shared with her beloved grandchildren and all of the world. Her plentiful gardens were admired by fellow neighbors and unique crafts were available for purchase at her in-home shop, "Katrina Falls Krafts", located in Rock Hill. Joyce was an avid Christian who instilled the love of God to anyone willing to lend an ear, especially those in need. She was known for her beautiful antique jewelry collection and could be spotted proudly wearing these timeless pieces that were just as colorful and vivid as she was! To know her was to love her.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Guy Fodor and his wife Terry of Voluntown Ct, Glenn Fodor and his wife Mary of Rock Hill, and Mitchell Fodor and his wife Sandra of Neversink; 2 Brothers, Terry Wagner of Middletown, NY and Larry Wagner of Fredericksburg, VA; 2 Sisters, Beverly Osterhoudt of Scotia, NY and Peggy Matice of Gardiner, NY; 9 grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Stefan, Jonathan, Rachel, Sean, Matthew, Carrie, and George; and 5 great-grandchildren Jameson, Leo, Marley, Riley and Jack.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Gyula Fodor and her three brothers, John, Kenny and Micky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro, NY 12790. Funeral services will follow at 1:30pm, at the Church of the Nazarene, 210 Katrina Falls Road, Rock Hill, NY 12775. Burial will be held after the funeral service at the Rock Hill Cemetery.
