Obituary of Max Sawransky
Max Sawransky of Wurtsboro, a retired manager for ShopRite Supermarkets, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty. He was 96.
The son of the late Harry Sawransky and Sadie Plot Sawransky, he was born October 27, 1925 in the Bronx.
Max was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army.
He is survived by his fiancé: Arlene Fisher of Wurtsboro; his two sons: David Sawransky & his wife Brenda of Middletown, and Richard Sawransky of Tulum, Mexico; four grandchildren: Dena Sawransky, Joshua Sawransky, Melissa Steele and Anne Marie Frasier; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Libby; son Gary; and two brothers, Sol and Larry.
Private burial was held at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg.
