Rebecca Brown Yung Liu of Monticello died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Skilled Nursing Unit-Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 92. The daughter of the late Benjamin Maybank and Bina Virgin Maybank, she was born August 4, 1917 in St. Stephen, South Carolina. She was the widow of Liu Yung, who predeceased her on November 24, 2008. She is survived by a son; Anthony (Andrea) Liu of Loch Sheldrake; a daughter; Sarah Bennett of Monticello; five grandchildren: Larissa, Benjamin, Latoya, Jonathan and Leya. In addition to her husband, Rebecca was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 11:00am to 12noon at the Bethlehem Temple Church, Fairground Road in Monticello. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00pm with Bishop Mervin Armstead officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., Mid-Hudson Chapter 2, Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103 Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4027 or to Bethlehem Temple Church, Fairground Road, Monticello, NY 12701.
