Laura Kunicki, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died on Friday, April 1, 2022 in Queens, NY. She was 76.
The daughter of the late Jan and Antonina Tychanski, she was born September 12, 1945 in Wojkowa, Poland.
Laura was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She loved going to church, for walks, watching wildlife and nature, watching game shows, and loved going out to restaurants.
She is survived by her loving children: Thomas Kunicki, and Alina Makowski & her husband Chester; granddaughter Ashley Makowski; two brothers: Eugene and Steve; and three sisters: Mary, Jane and Helen. She was predeceased by her husband, Stefan on April 12, 2016.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday ,April 8 at 10:15am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Private burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
