Jacqueline Elizabeth Parrish was born June 16, 1983 at Brooklyn Hospital, to Lucille Jenkins and Jeffery Neil. On March 16, 2022, at the age of 38, her life was abruptly taken away.
Jacqueline attended school in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Sullivan County. She graduated from High School and completed college in Charlotte, NC with a degree in Finance.
Jacqueline loved life and all of the people she shared it with. She was always singing, dancing, and being free. Whenever she got with her family, there was always a party. Jacqueline had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and tell jokes.
Jacqueline’s world revolved around her son, Desmen. He was the sun in her sky.
Jacqueline is survived by her son Desmen Estimable; estranged husband, Tyrone Parrish; her partner, Ivan Mitchell; mother, Lucille Dumas; father, Jeffery Neil; five brothers, Warren Dumas, Jr., Joshua Dumas, Jeffery Neil, Jr., Christopher Neil, and Joseph Davis; two sisters, Jasmin Dumas and Shaquna Johnson; two God-children, Denise Dumas and Sincere Conway; a host of aunts and uncles who loved her as a daughter; and a host of cousins who viewed her as a sister, and many nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, James Carter and Betty Jenkins; her paternal grandparents, Elmont and Ann Neil; her stepfather, Warren Dumas, Sr.; aunt, Gretta Jenkins; and cousin, Charlene Dumas.
Jacqueline, we miss you more than you will ever know. Our hearts are heavily grieved by your sudden passing, but we are comforted by God’s Word that says, “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.”
Rest well, until we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 12:30-2:30 at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
