Obituary of Myron W. Miller III
Myron W. Miller III, a retired union surveyor, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at his home in Glen Spey. He was 57.
The son of the late Myron W. Miller Jr. and Dorothy Wilbur Miller, he was born July 1, 1964 in Smithtown.
After witnessing the destruction of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, Myron was eager to assist in the recovery effort by taking on the role of a first responder to the disaster in recovery and safety control. One of Myron’s proudest accomplishments was participating in the construction of the Freedom Tower.
He is survived by his two children: Jeffery Miller of Ballston Spa, NY, and Shannon Hesch & her husband Michael Hesch of East Greenbush, NY; and a grandchild: Riley Hesch. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Pamela Kohler.
Following cremation, services will be held privately, and interment of his ashes will be held at the Hauppauge Rural Cemetery in Long Island.
