Obituary of Jacqueline De Simone

Jacqueline De Simone of Harris passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Park Manor in Middletown NY. She was 84.

The daughter of John Bredo and Ruth Katz Bredo. She was born April 25, 1937 in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn.

She was an avid reader, loved poetry, bird watching, and Broadway show day trips. She was always ready to go wherever the car would take her. She was wealthy in family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years; John De Simone Sr of Harris, by three sons: John De Simone Jr, Nicky De Simone both of Monticello, Danny and his wife Tanya of Granby, CT, two daughters: Lori and her husband Doug Nixon of Kauneonga Lake, Andrea and her husband Dan Oldfield of Harris, a sister, Barbara Bredo Sanders of Cape Cod.  She was loved by her grandchildren, Nicole, Cory, Dana, Jessica, Kate, Jenna, DJ, Annette, and Brian. She was a great grandmother to Jack, Neva, JD, Evie, Dominik, Jovany and Emilia. She will be missed by her Yaya’s Joann Monroe and Rosie Locascio.  She leaves behind so many that loved her and in those memories, we find comfort. She was predeceased by her grandson, JT De Simone.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2021 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.  Her funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday  at the funeral home. Burial to be held at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Monticello.
