Obituary of Richard R. "Dick" Roe Sr.

Richard “Dick” Roy Roe Sr. of Bloomingburg, retired partner of R. Roe and Sons, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the age of 82.

The son of the late Joseph Roe Sr. and Marion Ennis Roe, he was born June 21, 1939, in Middletown, NY.

He was an avid outdoorsman, hard worker, and a man of few words, as well as an honorary member of the Bloomingburg Fire Company

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan, and their children, Richard Roe Jr, Joanne Ives, and Frank Roe and his wife Earlene; as well as his grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer), Katelyn (Darryl), Amy (Nick), Michael (Holly), Richard, Brady (Michael), Andrew (Mikaela), Courtney, Saige, Abby (Jesse), and Alex. Along with his Great Grandchildren Ryan, Harleigh, Grace, Ally, Olivia, Aiden, Gavin, Tucker, Michael Jace, Oliver and Reagan.  He is also survived by a sister, Rhea Arnold; brother, Ralph Roe; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter Melinda and great grandson Hunter, sisters Shirley Boniface, Marion Botsford, June Poharski, Wilma Plocharczyk, and brothers, Joseph Jr, William, John, Duane and Robert Roe.

No visitation will be held, and burial was made at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bloomingburg Fire Co.
