Joseph M. Romano Sr. of Monticello, a retired trainer at the Monticello Raceway, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 in Middletown. He was 88.
The son of the late John Romano and Rose O’Brian Romano, he was born September 21, 1933 in the Bronx. He was the widower of Marie Sparano Romano who predeceased him in 1984.
He is survived by his five children: Paul, Joseph, Anthony, Matthew and Diane; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Burial was made privately at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.
