Obituary of Robert L. Booth Sr.
Robert L. Booth Sr. of Goshen, NY passed away on November 22, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 86.
The son of the late Jack Rexford Booth and Viola Gardner Booth, he was born January 20, 1935 in Monticello. He was the widower of Doris Joan Booth who predeceased him on May 17, 2012.
He is survived by one son, Robert L. Booth Jr. and his wife, Deirdre of Palmyra, VA; a daughter Donna Bilyeu and her husband, Timothy of Napanoch; his three grandchildren: Alexander Booth, Zachary & Ryan Bilyeu; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Jack Sydney Booth and a sister, Marion Booth Gager.
Bob was a retired driving instructor at the NYSDOT, a job in which he loved. He was a former member of the Wurtsboro Fire Department. He also was a classic car owner and aviation enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows and air shows. First and foremost, Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
Graveside services and interment of his ashes will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 at 11am at the Rock Ridge Cemetery, East Broadway in Monticello. Following the burial, there will be a memorial celebration/reception at 12:30pm at the Napanoch Firehouse, 25 Plank Road, Napanoch, NY 12458.
