Thomas More Tierney, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his home in Liberty, NY. He was 52.

 

The son of the late James Alfred Tierney and Mary Ellen Copin Tierney, he was born July 29, 1968 in Manhattan, New York.

 

He is survived by his four brothers: Matthew Tierney (Mary) of Neversink, NY, Joseph Tierney (Teresa) of Houston Texas, Michael (Sue O’Byrne) of Baldwin, and James (Nancy) of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; and two sisters: Eileen Slattery (Christopher) of Yonkers, Mary Ellen McCloskey (Tom) of Woodridge, VA; and a host of several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Tierney in 2004.

 

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A funeral mass will follow at St. Peter’s Church in Monticello starting at 1:30pm. Burial to be held at Calverton Cemetery Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
